At Adtran I am a Field Support Engineer supporting Professional Services primarily.

  • First Office Applications Installation
  • Technical Support for field installers and technicians.
  • Technical support for Project Managers
  • Technical support for Network Operations.
  • Write Procedures and Best Practices for installation and service crews
  • Help create training classes and presentations.
  • Work with Engineering and lab to refine products for real world applications

At ClearNet I was a project manager, project lead and sometimes technician for data and voice projects. I support VoIP, wired and wireless data technologies along with classic TDM technologies.

  • My specialties are in site surveys and job estimating.
  • Wireless and wired site surveys.
  • Troubleshoot the problems other people cannot fix.
  • The ability to work on a vast array of equipment, often without ever seeing it before, come to speed quickly and take care of it.

At CenturyLink I was a Sales Engineer for global accounts since 1999, primarily supporting the Microsoft account since 2006. I supported other global accounts for specialized products. Prior to that, I was a technician in the field supporting large private voice and data networks.

  • My specialties are in large corporate voice and data networks.
  • I was often the first to embrace new technologies and products. Once other engineers would come on board to support them, I often transferred my knowledge to them and went on to tackle the next emerging technology.
  • I am adept at explaining highly technical projects and ideas to non-technical people.
  • I am comfortable presenting to corporate and executive level audiences.
  • I supported Nortel/Avaya Meridian 1, CS1000, SL100 and CS2100 for Microsoft and other global accounts.
  • I designed the SIP trunk Integration with MS Lync at Microsoft.
  • I managed the project to have CenturyLink SIP trunks certified with Microsoft Lync.
  • I proposed, sold, and managed the implementation of upgrading the two SL100 upgrades at Microsoft.
  • I supported the sales, implementation and support of Polycom equipment for all Global Accounts.
  • I supported one off and special projects for other global accounts in Seattle that did not have a dedicated CPE Sales Engineer, such as Boeing, Gates Foundation, Frontier Bank, BECU.
  • I supported Nortel/Avaya for global accounts in California.
  • I supported NEC for all global accounts.
  • I was usually the first to tackle new products and projects, sometimes having to have the products and services approved within CenturyLink to be able to sell them.
